DJ Raj Mumbai is a renowned DJ and music producer based in Mumbai, India. Active in the industry since 2000, he has been thrilling audiences with his electrifying beats and unforgettable parties. With years of experience performing at clubs and events, DJ Raj has mastered the art of setting the perfect vibe for any occasion.
When and how did you get into DJing?
I began my DJing journey in the early 2000s, inspired by the rise of EDM and Bollywood remixes. After receiving formal training in DJing and music production, I spent over two decades performing at events, clubs, and weddings, crafting my unique sound. Today, I’m proud to be the founder and CEO of DJ Institute, where I mentor aspiring DJs and music producers while continuing to share my passion on stage.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
I do both—produce original music and remix existing tracks. I love blending genres like Bollywood, EDM, and hip-hop, and often rework popular songs to suit different vibes. As the founder of DJ Institute, I also teach music production and DJing to aspiring artists.
What’s your go-to track to get the crowd hyped?
My favorite remixes, like Chadti Jawani, Kanta Laga (Remix), and Maan Meri Jaan, are my go-to tracks to hype up the crowd. Each one brings a unique energy to the floor and reflects my style of blending different genres to keep the vibe alive.
What cities and countries have you performed in so far?
I’ve performed in several cities across Asia, including major spots in India and other countries in the region. My journey has taken me to places where I’ve connected with diverse audiences and shared my music on an international stage.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
My sound in three words: High-Energy. Bollywood. Vibey.
It’s all about creating a powerful vibe that keeps the crowd dancing nonstop.
Favorite clubs you would love to play or have played?
I love performing at college festivals—they’re full of youthful energy and diverse vibes. It’s the perfect space to connect with young audiences, experiment with new sounds, and create unforgettable musical experiences.
