From dance floors to DJ decks, DJ Praj from Pune has turned her lifelong passion for music into a thriving career. With 16 years of Bollywood dance experience and over 3 years behind the console, she brings energy and emotion to every set. Balancing a career in IT, she’s also a fitness enthusiast and former flight crew member—but her heart truly belongs to Bollywood beats.
When and how did you get into DJing?
I’ve always been passionate about music, but coming from a conservative background, I couldn’t pursue DJing early on. It was on my bucket list, and eventually, I joined an academy to learn professionally. What started as a personal goal soon turned into a career once I experienced the thrill of live performances and connecting with a crowd.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
I remix existing tracks to bring my own unique flavor and energy to them.
What’s something unique about you that sets you apart from other DJs?
What sets me apart is my deep connection with the crowd, shaped by my background in Bollywood dance. I don’t just play tracks—I create a fun, memorable experience. My journey from aviation and IT to music adds a unique energy to every performance, turning each set into a moment people truly feel and enjoy.
What’s your go-to track to get the crowd hyped?
My go-to track to get the crowd hyped is “Taare Gin Gin” by Sukhbir—it’s a guaranteed floor-filler!
What cities and countries have you performed in so far?
I’ve performed in cities across India, including Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Surat, Rajkot, and Kolhapur.

My sound in three words: desi, high-energy, and engaging.
Favorite clubs you would love to play or have played?
Some of my favorite clubs I’ve played at or would love to play include Local Gastro, Barkhana, Apache, Dimora, 2BHK, and Elrow.
