I’m living the dream I once only imagined—turning passion into power behind the console. I go by the name DJ Akaya, and I specialize in spinning a bold blend of Bollywood Commercial, Bolly Tech, EDM, Techno, Afro House, and Deep House.
My sets are more than just music—they’re a vibe, a connection, a high that lingers beyond the night. Every beat I drop is a piece of my journey, and every crowd I move is a reminder of why I started. This isn’t just DJing—this is who I am.
When and how did you get into DJing?
I started my DJing journey in 2022. Music had always been my escape, but in 2022, I decided to turn that passion into a profession. I was deeply drawn to the energy of live sets and the power of controlling a crowd’s vibe through sound. After exploring different genres, I found my rhythm in Bollywood Commercial, Bolly Tech, and EDM. With constant practice, self-learning, and live experiences, I’ve grown from a beginner behind the console to a performer who tells stories through sound. DJing isn’t just a career—it’s my creative voice, my identity, my stage.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
Yes, I do produce my own music as well as remix existing tracks. For me, it’s all about creativity and pushing boundaries—whether I’m crafting something original from scratch or reimagining a familiar hit with my unique twist. Producing allows me to pour my emotions and energy into every beat, while remixing gives me the freedom to transform a track into something fresh that resonates with the dancefloor. Both processes fuel my passion and help me connect with the crowd on a deeper level.
What’s something unique about you that sets you apart from other DJs?
What sets me apart is my ability to blend emotion with energy. While most DJs focus only on beats, I focus on vibes. I bring storytelling into my sets—mixing Bollywood soul with international sounds like EDM, Techno, and Afro House—to create a musical journey, not just a playlist. My background as a content creator and poet adds depth to my presence. I don’t just play music—I feel it, and so does the crowd. Every set reflects who I am: raw, real, and unforgettable.
What’s your go-to track to get the crowd hyped?
Mi Gente” by J Balvin & Willy William (remix with a Bollywood drop) — it never fails. The energy is insane, and when I blend it with a desi beat or a popular Bollywood hook like “Kala Chashma” or “She Move It Like,” the crowd goes wild. I love surprising people by fusing global bangers with desi flavor — that’s when the real magic happens.
What cities and countries have you performed in so far?
I’ve had the opportunity to perform in multiple cities across India, each offering a unique vibe and audience. Some of the key places include Udaipur, Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa. Every city has helped me grow as an artist and adapt my sets to different crowd energies and atmospheres. I’m always open to exploring new cities and international stages to share my sound with a wider audience.

Favorite clubs you would love to play or have played?
I dream of lighting up stages at iconic venues like Hï Ibiza, Berghain Berlin, Omnia Vegas, Bootshaus, and Sunburn (India & Dubai)—where music meets pure madness.
In India, I’ve had the chance to perform at top spots like WTF, Teddy, Karma, Playboy Club, Twist, Blackout, and The Artist House, Udaipur.
From rooftop vibes to global dance floors—I’m here to make the crowd move, feel, and lose themselves in the music.
