About DJ Fliptrip
As much as I love being Flip-Trip, my mother and dear ones still fondly call me Christo.
I’ve always followed my curiosity — often impulsively — and it’s never failed me. Everything I am and everything I aspire to be, I owe to God. Without Him, nothing holds.
Falling in love with music has been one of the greatest luxuries of my life — but helping people create memories through music? That’s my truest desire. I’ve always been an entertainer at heart. Becoming an artist and DJ wasn’t handed to me — it was earned through persistence, passion, and pure hard work.
I’m deeply thankful for every opportunity that’s come my way, and I strive to do justice to each one.To those who’ve stayed, prayed, and stood by me through this journey — my heart will always belong to you.
When and how did you get into DJing?
I found my passion for music early on, growing up in the ’90s with VH1 on loop. At 14, I performed in a ghetto for the first time — and that moment changed everything.
I chose DJing as my path and was lucky to learn from the best at Beatlab, where I not only learned the craft but also how to connect with a crowd.
Since then, DJing has taken me to dream stages like Sunburn Campus, Sunburn Club Nights, and VH1 Supersonic Holi Edition.
It’s been 11 amazing years — filled with travel, music, people, and culture. And this journey is far from over.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
I had taken a break from producing to focus more on live sets, travel, and growing as a performer. But this year, I’m diving back in — and there’s a lot in the works. From fresh remixes to original tracks, I’m experimenting with new sounds, styles, and collaborations that reflect where I am now as an artist.
The goal is to not just make music, but to create something meaningful that connects with people on and off the dancefloor. 2025 is going to be big — stay tuned, the journey is just getting started.
What’s something unique about you that sets you apart from other DJs?
I play on turntables — and to me, that’s real DJing. It’s not just about pressing buttons; it’s about skill, timing, and truly connecting with the music. That hands-on, old-school approach sets me apart and keeps the art form alive.
What’s your go-to track to get the crowd hyped?
It really depends on the genre I’m playing — but one thing’s for sure, every track in my setlist is a banger. I carefully curate my sets to keep the energy high and the crowd locked in from start to finish.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Unique/ Mesmerising/ Amazing.
What cities and countries have you performed in so far?
I’ve performed across 10 cities in India so far, each with its own vibe and crowd energy. And this year marks a big milestone — my first international tour in Dubai! Excited for what’s ahead and the new stages I’ll get to light up.
Favorite clubs you would love to play or have played?
Some of the clubs on my bucket list include Ballr (Pune), Quake (Hyderabad), LOD (Nepal), and the iconic Ushuaïa (Ibiza). Each of these venues has a unique vibe, and it’s a dream to bring my sound to those stages someday.
