I’m Meraj Warsi, professionally known as DJ MERAJ. With over 10 years of experience behind the console, I’ve built my reputation spinning at some of Kolkata’s most renowned clubs as a resident DJ.
From high-energy club nights to unforgettable weddings, corporate events to exclusive private gigs — I’ve done it all, creating unforgettable vibes and keeping the dance floor alive. My sets blend crowd energy with versatile sounds, making every event a unique experience.
When and how did you get into DJing?
It all started back in 2012. One of my brother’s friends was heading out for a holiday gig, and I tagged along. The moment we entered the event, something clicked. I still remember the scene like it was yesterday — bouncers, guard dogs, a long queue of excited people… the energy in the air was electric. That exact moment, I felt something powerful inside me.
I wasn’t just a spectator — I wanted to be that person who controlled the vibe, who moved the crowd. That day, I decided: I’m going to be a DJ. And from that moment, there’s been no turning back.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
I’m currently working on it. I’ve been experimenting with sounds, building my style, and soon I’ll be releasing my own remixes and original tracks. It’s a journey — and I’m all in.
What’s something unique about you that sets you apart from other DJs?
My sets are never about me — they’re for the crowd. I believe every event has its own energy, and I take the time to read that vibe before I drop the beat. Whether it’s a club night, a wedding, or a corporate event, I don’t just play tracks — I tell a story that matches the moment.
What sets me apart is my ability to adapt in real-time. I don’t stick to a fixed playlist — I play what the crowd needs in that exact moment. That’s what keeps the energy alive and the dance floor packed.
What’s your go-to track to get the crowd hyped?
My go-to tracks to get the crowd hyped are Papi, Masano x Kawa Kawa, and Chull x So Beautiful. These always bring the energy up and get everyone on their feet — pure crowd-pleasers every time.
What cities and countries have you performed in so far?
I’ve performed in lots of cities across India — from club residencies to private and corporate gigs. Internationally, I’ve had the opportunity to perform in one country so far, and I’m just getting started. Many more to come!

Favorite clubs you would love to play or have played?
Playboy Club Mumbai, Hilltop Goa — two iconic spots that have always been on my list. The vibe, the crowd, the energy… it’s everything a DJ lives for.
