When and how did you get into DJing?
Nilashree started her DJing career in 2015. A true music lover at heart, she had always been deeply connected to rhythm and sound, actively participating in various musical activities from a young age. Her passion for music eventually evolved into a professional journey, leading her to explore DJing as a medium to express herself and connect with people on the dance floor. What began as curiosity soon turned into a full-fledged career, and over the years, she has mastered the art of mixing and creating experiences that resonate with every crowd she performs for.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
Yes, I do. Along with performing live, I also enjoy producing my own music and creating remixes. It allows me to bring out my creativity, experiment with different sounds, and give every track a unique touch that connects with my audience.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect with the crowd on a deeper level. I don’t just play music — I curate an experience. My versatility across genres, combined with the energy I bring on stage, ensures that every set feels fresh and unforgettable. Being one of the few female DJs from Kolkata who has been performing nationally and internationally for over a decade also gives me a unique perspective and presence in the industry.
What’s your go-to track to get the crowd hyped?
My go-to track to get the crowd hyped is “Ishq” by Sukhbir. It’s an absolute energy booster — the moment it drops, the vibe shifts instantly and the dance floor comes alive. It’s one of those timeless tracks that never fails to connect with people and lift the mood.
What cities and countries have you performed in so far?
I’ve performed in more than 15 cities across India, including Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vizag, Varanasi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Siliguri, Trivandrum, Goa, and many more. Each city has given me a unique experience, and I love bringing my music to diverse audiences across the country.

Favorite clubs you would love to play or have played?
Some of my favorite clubs that I’ve loved playing at (and would love to keep returning to) include Big Pitcher in Bangalore and Pasha in Chennai, among others. Each venue has its own vibe and energy, and performing at such iconic spots is always an unforgettable experience.
