About DJ AD
I’m DJ AD — a nationally acclaimed DJ and music producer with a dynamic presence across India’s music scene. With performances spanning the country, I’ve collaborated with leading record labels like 9XM and Speed Records, and proudly serve as a signed music producer for Hunger Music Records (Belarus) and Abstract Tech Records (Bangalore). My contributions to the Indian nightlife industry have also been recognized by Sos NiteLife Mumbai, honoring my impact and dedication to the culture.

When and how did you get into DJing?
I got into DJing back when I was in school. I was always drawn to music, and over time, that interest grew into both a passion and a profession. The journey wasn’t easy—coming from a small city, I didn’t have access to teachers or mentors. I had to learn everything on my own through trial and error, constantly experimenting and practicing. It was tough, but that struggle shaped me into the artist I am today.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
Yes, I produce both original music and remixes. Remixing Bollywood tracks is something I love—it lets me bring new energy to songs people already connect with. But producing original music is where I truly express my own sound and style. My original tracks have been signed by major labels like Hunger Music Records (Belarus), Abstract Tech Records, Speed Records, and more. I’m proud to say I’m the first DJ and music producer from Siliguri to release original music commercially—until now, no other DJs from the city have done that. My tracks are available on all major music platforms, and I’m always working on new sounds to keep evolving.
What’s something unique about you that sets you apart from other DJs?
What sets me apart is that I’m a completely self-taught DJ who specializes in high-energy Bollywood mashups. Coming from a small city with no mentors, I learned everything through trial and error. That journey gave me my own unique sound. I don’t just play tracks—I watch the crowd closely, read their body language, and adapt my set in real time based on how they react. For me, it’s all about creating a vibe they can feel, not just hear.

What’s your go-to track to get the crowd hyped?
My go-to track to hype the crowd is usually a high-energy Bollywood mashup. I love dropping tracks like ‘Kala Chashma’ or ‘Ranjha’—they’re my personal favorites and never fail to get people moving. One of my signature crowd-pullers is my mashup of ‘Kali Kali Zulfon Ke’. These tracks hit hard because they mix nostalgia with pure energy. But at the end of the day, it all depends on the vibe—I pay close attention to the crowd, read their body language, and play exactly what they’re feeling in that moment.
What cities and countries have you performed in so far?
I’ve performed across several cities in India, including Siliguri, Kolkata, Guwahati, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Pune, Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Gangtok. Internationally, I’ve had the opportunity to play in Nepal and Bhutan as well. Each city has brought a unique vibe to my sets, and I’m always excited to take my sound to new places.
Describe your sound in 3 words?
Energetic. Experimental. Real.

Favorite clubs you would love to play or have played?
There are a few clubs that I’ve always dreamed of playing at, and some I’ve already had the chance to experience. I’d love to play at venues like Kitty Su (Delhi), Prism (Hyderabad), and Social (Mumbai)—the energy and vibe in those places is next level. Internationally, clubs like Ministry of Sound (London) or Zouk (Singapore) are big goals for me. I’ve had some amazing nights at [Wafira, Roxy, Warehouse, Exoro, Vibe, nuts & brew, etc], and those experiences have pushed me to keep growing.
