Tell us how your journey as a DJ began.
Growing up in an Indian home filled with FM radio, Bollywood movies, and a love for music, my DJ journey began in 2000. Inspired by legends like DJ Aqeel and Tiësto, I dedicated myself to mastering the decks, learning through hands-on experience, countless hours of practice, and the energy of live crowds.
My journey was shaped by incredible mentors—Meet Sir, Gaurav Malvai Sir, Sonik Bhaiya, and my Guru, Kary Arora—who guided me selflessly and believed in my potential. Inspired by their generosity, I spent years mentoring young talent for free. Today, I bring my experience, passion, and dedication to every performance, creating unforgettable experiences and keeping dance floors alive.
What inspired you to pursue DJing professionally?
I was inspired to pursue DJing professionally by legendary artists like DJ Aqeel and Tiësto. Their unique styles, incredible performances, and passion for music motivated me to explore the world of DJing and develop my own sound. Watching their journeys inspired me to follow my passion, improve my skills, and dream big in the music industry.
How would you describe your signature sound and what makes it difficult?
Signature. Sound – It’s a mix of nostalgia and modern floor-shakers. I blend the raw, hands-on feel of the early CDJ era with today’s sharpest edits and flips. What Makes It Difficult:
A resident DJ playing open-format can’t rely on a single ‘star track’ or one vibe. You have to understand the psychology of the room every 3 minutes, adapt instantly to requests, and make totally different genres sound like they belong together.
How do you read a crowd and decide what to play next?
I keep it simple: it’s all about connection, not overcomplicating things.
Is there a track or style you love playing when the energy needs a boost? Why?
Currently, I’m not producing my own original music, as true sound innovation requires dedicated studio time and creative freedom. Balancing family responsibilities, running a business, and performing live sets, I focus on giving my best where it matters most—the crowd. I work with great tracks, create custom edits, and rework them live to match the audience’s energy and keep the dance floor moving.

What are your future goals as a DJ?
My focus is on legacy, scale, and uncompromising quality. First, expanding Decibel Records into a powerhouse team that delivers lavish audiovisual setups and world-class event execution. Second, remaining the premier choice for high-end cocktail sets and private gatherings—where clients hire me for my signature sound: Authentic, Versatile, and High-Energy. Decades of live crowd-reading have trained my ears to know exactly what works without relying on screen crutches, and I refuse to let that hard-earned craft go to waste. My benchmark is Gaurav Malvai Sir—I am here to bring that same gold standard of authority, respect, and elite experience to Lucknow.
