About DJ KJ
Kavinder Jana popularly known as KJ is an enthusiastic DJ and Audio-Visual Artist. He has been in this industry from past 22 years, and these years were most overriding years of his life until being an Audio-Visual Artist he has been diligent with his fame as DJ. He recently announced that he will be entering the Indian Music Industry by introducing his debut album containing the mashups of famous Bollywood/Punjabi numbers. ‘KJ’s musical journey has been full of See-Saw, when he started off his career as a normal VJ just as a passion for the love of music, little did he know that this passion would transcend into an art possessed by very few Artists world over!
After years of unmatched and dedicated hard work, his talent was recognized by the audience. KJ Completely understands that the crowds are looking for more than just a musical experience, they want a visual drama in front of them with Entertainers, Musicians and of course their favorite DJ, this realization gave birth to KJ – Audio Visual Experience.
When and how did you get into DJing?
It all started over four decades ago — with nothing but a deep love for music and a curious mind.
I began my journey as a Video Jockey, driven purely by passion. What started as a hobby quickly evolved into something much bigger. As I explored the world of visuals and sound, I realized I could merge the two to create a unique, immersive experience.
That’s when I stepped into the world of DJing — not just to play tracks, but to craft unforgettable moments.
Music wasn’t just something I listened to — it became the language I expressed myself in.
And from that moment on, I never looked back.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
Yes, I do both.
I love producing my own original music — it allows me to express my sound and vision without limits. But I also remix existing tracks, especially iconic Bollywood and Punjabi hits, to give them a fresh, high-energy twist that connects with today’s crowd.
My debut album is a blend of both worlds — exclusive mashups and reimagined versions of fan-favorite songs, crafted with my signature Audio-Visual style. Whether it’s creating something brand new or transforming a classic into a dancefloor anthem, music is my language — and every beat tells a story.
What’s something unique about you that sets you apart from other DJs?
What sets me apart is that I don’t just play music — I create an immersive experience.
With over 22 years in the industry, I’ve mastered the art of blending sound with visuals, turning every performance into a full-sensory journey. While most DJs focus on the beats, I bring cinematic storytelling to the console — syncing lights, visuals, and emotion with every drop.
I’m not just behind the decks — I’m in front of the moment, creating memories people feel long after the music ends. That’s the KJ Audio-Visual Experience — and that’s what makes me different.
What’s your go-to track to get the crowd hyped?
It always depends on the vibe of the crowd — but if I had to pick one,
my go-to track to fire up the floor is a high-energy Bollywood or Punjabi banger, fused with my custom AV mashup.
I love dropping something familiar, then flipping it with unexpected visuals and transitions — that’s when the crowd goes wild.
It’s not just about the song — it’s about the moment.
And I always aim to create that unforgettable high.
What cities and countries have you performed in so far?
Over the past 42 years, I’ve had the privilege of performing at countless events across India and internationally.
From high-energy club nights to grand festivals and private luxury events, I’ve brought the KJ Audio-Visual Experience to diverse audiences around the world.
Each performance has shaped my journey, and every crowd has added a new layer to my sound.
No matter where I play, my goal is always the same — to create unforgettable moments through music and visuals.

Favorite clubs you would love to play or have played?
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of performing at some incredible venues, each adding something special to my journey.
But for me, it’s never just about the club — it’s about the energy of the crowd, the vibe of the space, and the freedom to bring my full Audio-Visual Experience to life.
That said, I’ve always admired iconic venues known for pushing creative boundaries, and I look forward to performing at more such spaces where sound and visuals are celebrated equally.
