Whether it’s a soulful remix or a high-energy set, music is his language—and creating meaningful connections through it is his ultimate goal.
When and how did you get into DJing?
I started DJing in 2003, back when the scene was raw and everything was done manually—no DJ software, just passion and my Denon DN-D4500. I was drawn to how music could shift moods and connect people, and those early, hands-on experiences shaped the sound and style I have today.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
I enjoy remixing classic Bollywood tracks by blending them with lofi, chillhop, Afro, or Amapiano vibes. At the same time, I also produce original music—mainly background scores and mood-driven compositions for web shows and films through my company, DJ Percy Music Company. Whether it’s reimagining the old or creating something new, it’s all about crafting a vibe that resonates.
What’s something unique about you that sets you apart from other DJs?
What sets me apart is my instinctive connection with the crowd and my unique blend of nostalgic Bollywood with lofi, chillhop, Afro, and Amapiano vibes. I also create cinematic scores through DJ Percy Music Company, turning every set into a storytelling experience.
What’s your go-to track to get the crowd hyped?
When it comes to hyping the crowd, one track that never fails for me is “Mundian To Bach Ke” with an Afro twist. It brings the perfect mix of nostalgia and energy, and that drop always gets the dance floor moving.
What cities and countries have you performed in so far?
I’ve had the privilege of performing in numerous cities, but a standout moment was my month-long Europe tour. Each city had its own unique vibe and energy, and connecting with such diverse crowds truly inspired and evolved my sound.
