Tell us how your journey as a DJ began.
Driven by a passion for electronic music, DJ Yash India (Yash Ghadi) began his self-taught DJing journey at the age of 14. From performing at college festivals and local events to winning DJ competitions, he gradually established his presence in the music scene.
He later ventured into music production, creating unique bootlegs and mashups that blend Indian devotional sounds with EDM, Psytrance, and Trap. His original releases and high-energy remixes gained popularity across streaming platforms and social media, helping him build a growing global audience as an independent artist.
What inspired you to pursue DJing professionally?
My dad was my biggest inspiration and the driving force behind my journey into music. His support and encouragement motivated me to turn my passion for music into a profession.
How would you describe your signature sound and what makes it difficult?
Adapting to different genres and connecting with diverse audiences has always been a challenge for artists. As a producer, I love experimenting with out-of-the-box sounds and creating music that helps me reach new audiences. However, when it comes to performing live, versatility is my strength. My music taste allows me to connect with all kinds of audiences and adapt effortlessly to their vibe.
How do you read a crowd and decide what to play next?
Creating music that feels close to people’s hearts without losing your edge isn’t easy. In my production, I’ve always chosen the harder path—making out-of-the-box tracks to push boundaries and reach new audiences. Yet on stage, it’s effortless. My energy and taste in music just naturally resonate with people from all walks of life.
Is there a track or style you love playing when the energy needs a boost? Why?
For an instant crowd injection, global anthems like Brazil, Rasputin, or Gangnam Style never miss. But when it’s time for pure Bollywood horsepower, it’s ‘Chikni Chameli’—no question. The rhythm is relentless, the crowd screams every word, and the room just explodes.
Do you produce your own music, or remix existing tracks?
Yes, I do both. I produce original tracks as well as create remixes, mashups, and bootlegs. I love experimenting with different sounds and giving existing tracks my own unique twist.

What are your future goals as a DJ?
My goal is to evolve as an artist by focusing more on original music production while continuing to experiment with unique sounds and Indian musical influences. I want to develop my own signature sound, collaborate with talented musicians, and create immersive live performances. I also aim to perform at leading music festivals across India and internationally, connect with a wider global audience, and establish DJ Yash India as a distinctive name in the electronic music scene.
